TIDE OF HOPE

As the scorching summer sun beats down on Phoenix, Arizona, our unsheltered neighbors face a relentless battle against extreme heat. In recent years, Phoenix has experienced record-breaking heatwaves, with temperatures frequently exceeding 110°F (43°C). The last four years have set records for heat-related deaths in Maricopa County. In 2023 we saw 645 heat-related deaths, which is a 52% increase over 2022 – and a 750% increase in the last 10 years. While we may not have the power to halt the heat, as a united community, we can certainly save lives.

4 Ways You Can Help

This summer, its up to each of us to help keep one another safe. There are many ways to get involved directly to save lives this summer. Let’s rally together and be the tide of hope for those in need. Learn how you can make a difference below!

Donate Water

This summer our goal is to collect 50,000 water bottles to hand out at our various heat relief stations. Please visit our Tide of Hope Public Water Drop-off listed below OR call to schedule a donation drop-off during business hours – 623-227-1280

Tide of Hope Water/Supplies Drop Off Locations

Months: May, June, July, August, and September
Day: First & Third Saturdays of the month
Time: 8am-1pm
Where: Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market

Donate Funds

Your contribution, no matter the size, will offer essential aid, including life-saving water, hope, cooling kits, and more, to individuas experiencing homelessness in Phoenix. Your generosity is impactful and will directly contribute to saving lives.

Donate Supplies

While water donations are crucial, it's equally important to receive other heat relief supplies to assemble our Cooling Kits, ensuring comprehensive relief for those in need during scorching temperatures.   • Insulated Water Bottles (the bigger, the better)

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Tote bags or Drawstring Bags

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Chapstick (+SPF)

  • Cooling Wraps

  • Pet Supplies
